Busy! Sorta

Vacation!!! My wonderful in-laws have a time share in Cancun, and they weren't able to go this year, so they traded out for San Diego. But they got three weeks of San Diego. So they asked Jacob and me if we wanted to go. Naturally, we said yes. The problem was that you have to be 24 to rent a car in California, so we couldn't fly. And if you have seen our car, there is no way we would make it there. So we invited my parents. But my mom had to back out at the last minute because of her new job. (She lost all her vacation time :( ) So we brought my younger brother Logan. It was super awesome! We went to the zoo. LOVED IT!!! So much fun. We went to the wild animal park. Not so much fun...A lot of walking, and your ticket price is just park entry. Anything else you want to do costs extra money. I did enjoy feeding the Lorakeets (Or however you spell it), until one pooped on me. We went to La Jolla, the most beautiful beach in the whole world. If you are ever in San Diego I recommend you go there! There are tons of seals everywhere. You can almost touch them, they are so close! We also went to Old Town. For some reason I really enjoyed it more this time than the last time. The Mormon Battalion museum was really fun. Very interactive. Plus we got to look up some of my Dad's ancestors (I guess they are mine too). On Friday we went to a baseball game. When we were driving around trying to find parking, I thought I saw a Subway, which sounded like an excellent cheap dinner. So Jacob and I walked about a dozen blocks before we gave up. We found a delicious little pizza parlor that was really inexpensive. On our way to the ballpark, I found the Subway. It was right next to the gate for the ballpark.
This week Jacob is gone to camp school. So I am staying with my parents since I don't have a car to take me home. When Jacob gets back on Saturday, we are going straight to my brother-in-laws so we can babysit his four children for a week while they take my in-laws to Florida. Trust me when I say no amount of mental preparation will be able to prepare me for four kids ages six, three, almost two, and eight months... I am sure I will gain some valuable experience on how to parent, and I am guessing any thoughts of having kids anytime within the next five years will be discarded. Kidding. But seriously. Its going to be an interesting week.
