Oh MY HECK!!

So... Long story short. So Jacob and I had free ice creams at the ice cream shop. We decided to make a date night out of them. I really wanted to see the movie Date Night and it was playing at the dollar theater on Wednesday night. Ice cream was perfect. Everything else...Not so much... We made it to the light by the movie theater. And suddenly the car decided it didn't want to work anymore. I thought it was the battery (again) so we called for a jump. Turns out it was not the battery. Rather, the serpentine belt decided to fall off. So we got a tow home. Talk about embarrassing. Everyone in our apartment complex kept looking out at us to see what was going on. After a Thursday of torment, walking to the grocery store, and trying to see which parent wanted to come rescue us (neither could), I decided to be really mean and sad. On Friday I decided I was going to figure out how to fix the car myself. Yay...Thanks Dad for telling me that the graphic of how the belt goes on is actually on the hood of my car...Anyway, so Jake and I got really excited because we thought we finally had our car fixed. Nope wrong. We couldn't figure out how to move the idler pulley to get the belt around everything snug. So...I finally remembered a conversation I had with my visiting teacher's husband. He said anytime Jacob and I needed help with our car he would be more than happy to help. So after several days of being retarded (on my part) he came over and helped Jacob put the belt back on. But he figured the belt came off for a reason. Turns out it was the water pump. Luckily, we were able to buy a refurbished one for about 25 bucks. And the water pump on the car is super easy to change. Strangely, it is actually located in a sensible place, unlike most cars. So about forty dollars later, and no trips to the mechanic, we have a car that works!!! YES!!!! Thank goodness for my visiting teacher :D

WOW!!

SO last week Jacob and I spent the entire week baby sitting my brother in laws four kids. From Sunday to Sunday. And wow!! Talk about a lot of work. The kids range in age from seven months to six. Needless to say it was a long week. But it was a great week. For the most part...I mean, naturally there were time outs and messes, but the kids really are great kids. We took them to the park a few times, and we also went to my sister in-laws house so they could play with their cousins. My favorite activity of the week was taking the kiddos to Cabella's. I had never been before, but Jacob's sister mentioned that they take their kids there to look at the animals. It was so cute. My favorite part was that most of the animals there are things you don't see every day. But the kids loved the horses! When I asked Dace what he liked most it was horses. Jacob and I thought this was hilarious. He could care less about the moose, the fish, the bears, the zebra. . .
One day we went to a park up in Saratoga Springs and the kids starting acting really naughty, so it was time to head home. Sadly one block before our turn, a semi-truck hauling an ENTIRE house got stuck on a bridge going over the river. So instead of going where we needed to, we ended up at Camp Williams. Four crying or yelling kids stuck in traffic and we had no way to get home. OMG! Talk about a head ache.
Another funny event was the day the boys found a giant ant hill in the back yard. We tried to find RAID or something to kill them, but all we found was gas. So Jacob and I lit the ants on fire. The boys thought it was the funniest thing! Now they call themselves ant bullies, because of one of their favorite movies. SOOO cute!!
Lots of other events, but these are kinda my favorite stories. I love those kiddos!!
