Valentine's Day

So this was my first valentine's day with Jacob. Not having a lot of money, we agreed to do things that would not really affect our budget. We also decided it would be fun to stretch out our celebration into the whole weekend. So Friday we went bowling (with coupon for free games) and because we went in the afternoon, we got a cheaper price. After Jake kicked my butt, we went window shopping :D which is one of my favorite activities. On Saturday we started out with our normal Saturday morning activity of going to the plasma center. Fun right? Jake had a news story to do on animal abuse so we took a trip out to the humane society. I was nervous because I thought I would get attached and really want to take some of the animals home with me. I did want to take them home. They were all so cute!! Especially the kitties and this little black lab. Once we finished that, it was time for dinner. I made us a nice, but inexpensive dinner. It was so awesome. To finish out our weekend we geeked out and watched the Star Wars trilogy. I hadn't seen those movies in years, so it was really strange. Those movies make so much more sense now that I understand what is going on. So that is my super fantastic weekend with my Jake! I love him! Being married to him is the best thing ever! :)

The problem with public restrooms

I have been noticing a trend in the world of public restrooms, and I think that it is time that the world knows. Every day I spend a lot of time on campus, and therefore, I have to use a public restroom :(... And everyday I use a restroom, it never fails that the first stall I look in has not been flushed. Now some days, I will be able to simply go to the next stall and not have this problem. But no, MOST days, I go to the next stall, and guess what!!?!?? It has not been flushed. At least three times in the past month, when going to the bathroom every toilet has not been flushed. And these are big bathrooms people. There is no reason for ten toilets to not be flushed. PEOPLE!!! I do not need to see your creations in the toilet. I hope that you don't leave your toilets at home unflushed. I imagine that could be quite dreadful. So I am offering a simple suggestion. Rather than leaving your stall dirty and your toilet unflushed, take your foot. Place it on the handle. Push down. The toilet will flush. You don't have to touch a disgusting handle. And I can be happy.

Yuppers

So one of my favorite things about being married, is that I get to try cooking new things because I know Jacob will eat whatever I make. So yesterday I tried making pork loin with a ketchup and onion marmalade. It was amazing! And so easy to make. I also found an amazing recipe for ham, corn, and potato chowder. Its so affordable, and again incredibly easy. I especially love this recipe, because I can throw it in the crock pot in the morning and come dinner all I have to do is set the table :D Happiness.
I am really starting to get back into the swing of things as far as school is going. I am loving most of my classes. I am doing pretty sweet on papers and tests. This week is going to be pretty crazy as far as assignments go, but at least it will keep my busy. I have to read "Death of a Salesman," this week. Not to excited seeing as I hated it so much when I read it in high school...That will be a blast... (yay sparknotes.com) The end.
