The problem with public restrooms

I have been noticing a trend in the world of public restrooms, and I think that it is time that the world knows. Every day I spend a lot of time on campus, and therefore, I have to use a public restroom :(... And everyday I use a restroom, it never fails that the first stall I look in has not been flushed. Now some days, I will be able to simply go to the next stall and not have this problem. But no, MOST days, I go to the next stall, and guess what!!?!?? It has not been flushed. At least three times in the past month, when going to the bathroom every toilet has not been flushed. And these are big bathrooms people. There is no reason for ten toilets to not be flushed. PEOPLE!!! I do not need to see your creations in the toilet. I hope that you don't leave your toilets at home unflushed. I imagine that could be quite dreadful. So I am offering a simple suggestion. Rather than leaving your stall dirty and your toilet unflushed, take your foot. Place it on the handle. Push down. The toilet will flush. You don't have to touch a disgusting handle. And I can be happy.

Yuppers

So one of my favorite things about being married, is that I get to try cooking new things because I know Jacob will eat whatever I make. So yesterday I tried making pork loin with a ketchup and onion marmalade. It was amazing! And so easy to make. I also found an amazing recipe for ham, corn, and potato chowder. Its so affordable, and again incredibly easy. I especially love this recipe, because I can throw it in the crock pot in the morning and come dinner all I have to do is set the table :D Happiness.
I am really starting to get back into the swing of things as far as school is going. I am loving most of my classes. I am doing pretty sweet on papers and tests. This week is going to be pretty crazy as far as assignments go, but at least it will keep my busy. I have to read "Death of a Salesman," this week. Not to excited seeing as I hated it so much when I read it in high school...That will be a blast... (yay sparknotes.com) The end.

Because...

I have decided that because I am an old married woman with a very interesting life, it is time to make my blog....more....understandable. So everyone understands what is new with my cute and sweet husband. So yes. I will start with....Hmm...School.
This semester Jacob and I decided it was time for me to head back and finish up school. I applied for pell grants, and got one. So next came the admissions to Utah State. A big joke. I applied at the very beginning of November. A few weeks went by and the school sent me a letter saying that I hadn't paid the admission fee and they hadn't received my transcript. So I printed of my bank statement, marched myself into the office, and pointed out the error. I called Eastern Utah, they had my transcript on the way, SLCC doing the same. A few more weeks went by. Another letter. Apparently I still hadn't paid my admission fee, and my SLCC transcript hadn't come. This time, when I brought my bank statement, it also showed the SLCC transcript had been paid for. So after some research, they found my transcript filed under my maiden name (which was listed on my file). I was told to come back in a few days (it now being the beginning of January), to see if I was accepted. When I went back, I was told I was to late to be accepted, as it was to close to the beginning of the semester. Well that wasn't a good enough answer for me, so I wanted to meet with the head of admissions. Finally! Two months later! I am officially an Aggie.
Now school has started and it has been so exciting for me to get back into the swing of things. I am taking twelve credits and loving it. I am so happy to be finishing my education. What a happy thing! Only two years left :) So that is that. My effort to start a more "normal" blog.

yes thats right

I really do not appreciate self righteous people. Especially when they are your college professor. I mean really. Your opinions are not going to give me a full understanding of the subject. Please understand that there are more people studying the same things that you study. These people may or may not have opinions that vary from what you are teaching me. As your student I feel that I will gain a better understanding of the subject by having a curriculum that is not based off of your findings, your text, and your website. Now that I have said that, Mark McGwire! You suck. Do not lie. Steroids. Really. You know that you did them so that you could become the "ultimate" baseball player. So quit lying and saying that you did it for health reasons. If you really did take them for health reasons, don't you think you would have stopped taking them? Especially since they didn't "improve your game." You are a liar. I hate you. And yet Pete Rose cannot make it into the hall of fame. Also to the Logan newspaper, "The Herald Journal," please get a new editor. Check your facts. Don't put that the same team had two games in one day. Or that cattle are really sheep. History of China, please please please let me survive the semester. And the bookstore, you ordered my book a week ago. I really need it. Please get it or I will fall behind in my lit class. On the bright side, I can see the sky. ITS BLUE!! And BEAUTIFUL! I missed it so much. And today I made corn, ham, and potato chowder. I am so excited. The end.

Thoughts of My VERY FIRST Universtiy Class...

How come some people are in there? The doors are locked. Great. I love writing papers. Why did I get up so early? Gee whiz this class is huge, and it keeps growing. Okay Katie, surely you can figure out how this desk flap thing works. This teacher is like two years older than me. Still don't get the desk thing. So glad I bought my book....NOT...That kids shirt is really disgusting. This building smells weird. Oh thats how the desk thing works. Okay maybe not my desk thing...I wish someone would sit in front of me so I didn't have to pay attention. Ah. Its so early. Okay now the desk thing works. To bad my notebook barely fits on it. Is it time to go yet? Seriously people, if you would just listen, he already answered that question. The end.

Teddy Grams for Free

Long day. I guess hospitals have the natural ability to make people feel incredibly drained. I love my Nana. I always will love my Nana. I really admire her and so many of her wonderful qualities.
Other stories in Katie-ville. My car does not like the cold. That is why I am glad I have roadside assistance on my insurance to give my car a jump. Donating plasma is getting better. I am not so nauseous when I drink water. Christmas is/was super! Yup Jacob and I celebrated early because of traveling and such. So. Yessssss. The caps lock key fell off my computer today. I am sad. I cannot find it. My computer is sad too. Sigh. I really wish that I could fall asleep before three a.m. Apparently that is not possible, nor has it been for the last week. Happy December. The end. Love, Me

The bears are winning...

So. Fasfa. Amazingly helpful. Now I can go back to school. School....Mixed feelings, but I know it will be worth it. I am so annoyed with people that start construction work before seven am right next to my open window. Especially when I cannot fall asleep till late at night. Grr. I love the warm, and am sad to see it go. Rain makes me happy. Basketball was funny. I have a huge bruise on my knee. I recieved this bruise on Monday, and it is still huge and sore. I still need a job. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving. And Christmas. I am glad to know that Snuggie is the item of the year at Smith's for 2009. My life is now complete. Ha. So funny. A blanket with arms. Whats the score? Nothing, nothing. Who is winning? The Bears. I love it! So classic and amazing. Still. Ninja Turtles movies? Not so much....Oh well. The end.
